Dale Wilcox, 67, passed away on July 1, 2026, peacefully in his home in Jamaica, New York. His departure has created a deep void for his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew him in the community.
Born on March 12, 1959, in Manhattan, New York, to late Jack Wilcox and late Alice Wilcox. Dale lived a life defined by love for his family, resilience, and the relationships he built throughout the years. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather whose presence brought strength, laughter, and comfort to those fortunate enough to know him.
Dale graduated from Clinton high school and post education he began his career at manhattan plaza as a security guard until his retirement in 2025.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Wilcox; his loving children, Dale Rizer , Donnell Rizer , Donte Wilcox, Ebony Hargraves, and Michael Wilcox; and his cherished grandchildren, July Scott , Mariah Rizer , Dylan Rizer , Avery Hargraves, Emory Hargraves, and his unborn granddaughter, Davina Wilcox, whom he loved before he even had the chance to meet. His love and legacy will continue to live on through each of them.
To know Dale was to know a man whose greatest joy came from his family. Whether through shared laughter, words of wisdom, or simply being present, he left an unforgettable mark on the lives of those he loved. His memory will forever be treasured, and the lessons he taught through his love, strength, and perseverance will remain with his family for generations to come.

| i knew mr. wilcox from being a resident of manhattan plaza. i was saddened to learn about his passing. i so much enjoyed talking with him about our families, craziness of the city, world views during his late night shift as i'd come and go. he watched over us with kindness and professionalism. mr. wilcox will be greatly missed in this world. my deep condolences to his family. i know he loved you all very much. rest in peace, mr. wilcox. | JENNIFER

| my deepest condolences goes out to the wilcox family i'm so sorry for your loss. i started working at the manhattan plaza in 2016 doing overnights with wilcox he taught me everything that i needed to know about working behind the desk and to conduct myself as a security officer and as time went by i got to know dale and he had a sense of humor that kept me laughing through out the night and a great person to be around,we bonded and formed a brotherhood until he retired from the manhattan plaza we always used to bet on knicks and mets games because he didn't like neither new york team and most of the time i had to pay him and his favorite words to me was thank you for helping me pay my bills
