The funeral for the late Marion Taylor will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at David Williams Funeral Service located at 108-20 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11435. The viewing will be held from 10am-11am, followed by the funeral service at 11am. She will be laid to rest in Farmingdale, NY. Please give your condolences to the Taylor family.

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Marion K Taylor
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marion K.
Taylor, who departed this life on May 31, 2026 at the age of 88 at Northwell Memorial Hospital,
Long Island, NY.
Born on January 30, 1938 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Marion was the daughter of Mrs.
Cleo Shell and Mr. Jesse Edwards. Throughout her life, she touched countless hearts with her
kindness, compassion, strength, and unwavering love for family and friends.
Marion joined St. Albans Presbyterian Church on June 9, 2019. She attended Bible study and
also worked on the We Care Program until her illness prohibited her from attending. She worked
and retired from New York Metro Transit Authority after 25 years of service.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joffre Taylor and son, David Earl Payden.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, a loving son Timothy and his wife Iris Payden of
New York, brothers Thomas "Skip" Shell of Georgia, William" Bill" Shell of SC, Robert Shell of
Virginia and Willie Haywood Shell of SC, a grandson Brandon Payden of Killeen, Texas, a
granddaughter Amelia Payden of New York, an Aunt Ms. Weltha McCann of Queens, NY and a
host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will truly miss her. The family thanks everyone
for their support and extended prayers as we celebrate her life.
Though our hearts are broken by this loss, we find comfort in the love, lessons, and memories
she leaves behind. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to live on through all
who knew them.
