The funeral for the late Wendy S. Atkinson will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Cross Over Ministries, INC. located at 4906 Avenue D. Brooklyn, NY 11203. The viewing will be held from 4pm-6pm followed by the funeral service at 6pm. She will be laid to rest in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Please give your condolences to the Atkinson family.

Wendy Susan Atkinson was born to Michael Waldron and Mamrie Jack on October 19, 1956 on
the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, W.I. She was the first born of 3 children. Wendy
migrated to the U.S. in her twenties and worked at many jobs such as The Children Aid Society,
Lutheran and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.
In all truthfulness, as you sit here today and is asked to scribble words that can ascribe to the
personality and character of Wendy, you would I'm sure come up with descriptives such as
GENTLE, FAITHFUL SERVANT, SOFT SPOKEN, RESPECTABLE, EQUANIMITY, HUMBLE,
HONEST, OF HIGH MORAL STANDARDS. All are typical of the words of Galatians 5 vs 22-23.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love,joy,peace, long suffering, gentleness,faith.Meekness,
temperance: against such there is no law"
Wendy was never quick to anger nor eager to judge. She loved people and cared for her
children and all her family and friends without reservation or preferences. Wendy lived a
remarkable life, even though she would have had at some point experienced disappointments,
heartache or spirit dampening situations she maintained one composure accompanied with a
smile. Her mantra was always: " I'M FINE" for in every aspect of her life she found strength in
God and would pivot any uncertainties and personal challenges to HIM for clarity and solutions.
That's why she was never in the habit of " bothering " anyone as she would calmly allude to.
She left everything to Gods hand; for outside of her children, family, friends her divine love for
God and toward her worship at church was her ultimate source of strength, positive energy and
comfort.
WENDY'S death came like a thief in the night, snatching from us a gem that is
irreplaceable.Although all our hearts are aching, she lived her life as she was destined to
serving her God without fear, her children and family without preference and her country with
gratitude. MY DEAR SISTER YOU WILL FOREVER REMAIN ETCHED IN OUR HEART.
" I VIEW MY HOME AND TAKE MY FLIGHT, THIS ROBE OF FLESH I'LL DROP AND RISETO
SEIZE THE EVERLASTING PRIZE, AND SHOUT WHILE PASSING THROUGH THE AIR. "
FAREWELL FAREWELL TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS UNTIL WE MEET AND SEE AGAIN."
