Our loving matriarch, Lovia Franceta Wright passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the young age of 87.
Lovia was born on June 10, 1936 in Portland, Jamaica to Florence Facey and Sidney Wright. Lovia was a fearless and strong-willed woman who persisted after the passing of her husband Oscar Burton.
Lovia will be forever remembered for her infectious laugh and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She is survived by her children Gladstone “Barry” Henry, Winifred “Cherry” Rickets, Harry “Junior” Henry, Paulette Henry, Charmaine Davis-Burton, Dexter Henry, Charmaine “Apple” Burton, Keith Grant, Andrea Burton, Andrew “Jackie” Burton, and Nathalie “Debbie” Burton; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister “Micey” and her children: Clifton Burton, Doreen Henry and Ann Marie “Ms. Ann” Burton.
