Jeffery Wilkins was born on October 6, 1970, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, to the late Matthew and Lillie Jones. He was the youngest of 7 children and was called to glory on July 17, 2023. Jeff, as he was fondly known, grew up on 157 Street, where he spent most of his youth playing outside with his best friends and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Michael, and Allen. Jeff was very athletic and realized he loved running at a young age; in the 90s, he trained hard and successfully completed several 5K marathon races. As he got older, he realized that his real passion was cooking, and he went on to graduate from culinary school and pursue a career as a Chef.
Jeff also loved the Lord and attended church regularly. Jeff always had a positive attitude and was loving, kind, supportive, funny, easygoing, and genuinely caring. His infectious laugh, warm heart, and personality will be greatly missed.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Shonda Wilkins, and His siblings: Sharon, Patricia, Rosa, and Matthew Wilkins. Jeff grew up closely with his nephew Michael and three nieces, Teresa, Tawanna, and Shanee. He is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jeff touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
