The funeral service for the late Alice Hickling will be held on Saturday, June 10th at United Apostolic Church 205-24 Hollis Ave, St. Albans, NY 11412.

Viewing: 8:00am-9:00am
Service: 9:00am

The burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park Farmingdale, NY.

Special Info  Alice May Hickling passed away on May 13, 2023, after a long illness at 87 years old. She was born March 3, 1936, in Discovery Bay, St Anns, Jamaica WI. She was the 4th child of Joseph and Matilda Hickling. Alice attended Discovery Bay Primary School, where she passed all of her local exams. From there she moved to Spanish Town where she attended Carter Henry Commercial School. Upon graduating she went to work for R Hannah & Son and then Worthy Park Estate as a legal secretary in Kingston, Jamaica. She migrated to Canada and then to the USA where she lived in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. She continued her work as a legal secretary first at the Nigerian Consulate and then at Sherman & Sterling Law Firm until she retired. Alice Loved to travel in her younger days and also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was a long-time dedicated member of the United Apostolic Church where she was the first Church secretary. Alice is predeceased by her sisters Leanna and Joyce and brothers Leonard and Joe. She is survived by her sister Elva and brothers Hubert, Sydney, Donald, and Neville, and many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grand nephews and other relatives and friends.
