Special Info  Samuel Murphy passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 80 at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital. Born on August 28, 1941 in Clay Ground, Jamaica, Samuel was the third of five children to the union of the late Leonard and Agatha Murphy. He was educated at the Bamboo All Age School. Samuel met and married Pamella (Waugh) Murphy and had three children. Samuel migrated to Queens, NY in 1979 and the couple raised their three children as a family. Samuel loved the art of masonry and successfully built his own home in Jamaica. He followed that passion and was gainfully employed at St. Vincent's Hospital, New York, New York for over 20 years and from which he retired in 2007. Samuel returned to his home in Lilyfield, Jamaica shortly after retiring and frequently traveled between Jamaica and New York. Samuel loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a role model and Father to many. During his travel, he met his companion, Curneita Lalor with whom he lived with until his death. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agatha Collins-Murphy; his father, Leonard Murphy; brother, Othniel Murphy; and sister, Unalyn Murphy. Samuel leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory; wife, Pamella Murphy, children, Robert Murphy (Arin), Oneal Murphy (Cheryl), and Antoinette Stewart (Clifford); sisters, Anita Murphy and Michelle Francis (Byron); brother, John Murphy; grandchildren; Christopher Murphy, Devyn Murphy, Jordan Stewart, Marcus Murphy, Chord Phillips, Jenae Stewart, and Olivia Murphy; great- granddaughter, Kyrah Murphy; special niece, Deborah Edwards; a devoted companion, Curneita Lalor; Carlene Lalor, Avril Lalor and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
