The Funeral Service for the late Ms. Sylvia P. Guevara will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Premire Baptist(1014 Utica Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11203. There will be be a veiwing from 9 to 10am with the service beginning at 10am.

Sylvia Pamela George Guevara was born in Glen Road Scarborough Tobago, June 1st, 1938. She was daughter of Martin & Iona George deceased. She is the 2nd of 9 children Gloria, Shirley, Herbert, Claudius, Reginald, Gary, Cuthbert and Derrick George.
She attended Spring Garden Elementary School in Tobago where she graduated with honors and won contests for excellent reading.
Sylvia left Trinidad and migrated to the states in the early 70’s, where she made a life for herself. As a result Sylvia brought her children from Trinidad to come to the United States.
In 1979 Sylvia became a proud home owner on 42nd Street where she raised her children and grand children. She was formerly known by her neighbors as Mrs. Sylvie where she became a second mother to most of the neighborhood children.
She leaves behind 6 children Brenda, Wendy, Ian, Richard, Robert and Dedre. She’s grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 2.
