The funeral for the late Rita Thomas will be held on June 27, 2012 at the St. Matthews RC 1123 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY. Viewing will be from 5-6 and funeral service will follow at 7:30PM. Final resting place will be handled by otway and bailey funeral home.

Rita Leslyn Thomas born on December 18, 1930 in St. Georges, Grenada; passed away Saturday June 16, 2012 at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Rita grew up in the town of Belmont where she worked seasonal jobs at several local hotels.
Leslyn migrated to the United States in 1985 and resided in Brooklyn, NY until her death.
Leslyn spent much of her time lovingly caring for her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved to cook traditional West Indian dishes for her family and enjoyed watching soap operas, movies and various other television shows. She will be lovingly remembered as a very calm and gracious woman.
Leslyn is survived by her six children; Brunel, Anne Marie, Wilma, Dexter, Michelle & Lisa, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
